Muskegon
McCroskey Law was founded in the blue-collar city of Muskegon, Michigan in 1949. The law firm made its name and reputation by excellent legal representation of labor unions and the working people of Muskegon. The firm’s founders, Ben Marcus and Jerry McCroskey, built their work injury law firm upon the premise that working men and women of Muskegon County deserve the same high quality legal representation as big corporations and insurance companies. Decades later, the firm continues to hold true to this premise. Our attorneys are dedicated to representing the causes of workers, the injured, and the disabled men and women of Muskegon and all of West Michigan. Through hard work and stellar legal knowledge, the firm’s attorneys recover millions of dollars for their clients every year and only charge their clients a fee if there is a recovery.
Today McCroskey Law has offices in Muskegon, Grand Rapids, and Battle Creek. The Muskegon office remains the law firm’s hub. Although representing West Michigan residents in workers’ compensation claims remains a primary practice area for the firm, our attorneys represent clients in many areas of the law including Social Security disability, personal injury, medical malpractice, auto and truck accidents, auto no-fault claims, divorces, child custody disputes, family law, drunk driving and other civil and criminal matters. We handle cases in both state and federal courts and are proud members of the State Bar of Michigan, Muskegon County Bar Association, Ottawa County Bar Association, Grand Rapids Bar Association, and Calhoun County Bar Association.
McCroskey Law is a strong and longstanding member of the Muskegon community. The firm is committed to sponsoring many worthwhile local events and charities including the Michigan Irish Music Festival, Muskegon Area Labor Management Committee, Muskegon County Bar Association Golf Outing, Muskegon Lumberjacks/Veteran’s Appreciation Night, Sgt. Preston Run, Federal Public Defenders Golf Outing, Bridges to Wellness/Muskegon Family Care, Movies on the Beach at Pere Marquette, Muskegon Civic Theater, and various local school fund-raisers.
Our attorneys are personally involved in the Muskegon community and West Michigan and hold important board positions on the Muskegon County Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and Lakeshore Disability Network. We also spend many hours representing individuals on a pro bono basis through Legal Aid of Western Michigan and through the Federal Public Defenders Office. Our lawyers are members of the Michigan Association of Justice and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. We are proud of our commitment to clients and active community involvement.
We have successfully represented thousands of grateful friends and neighbors in Muskegon and have one of the largest workers’ compensation and Social Security disability dockets in all of West Michigan. We are conveniently located at 888 Terrace St #100, and our office is less than a mile from the Muskegon County courts and the local Muskegon Social Security Administration. There is ample parking for clients and always a friendly face to greet you at the reception desk when you come in or call. If you are unable to travel to the office due to injuries, disabilities, or lack of transportation, our attorneys frequently schedule phone appointments for clients or travel to meet clients in Muskegon’s surrounding communities including Grand Haven, Holland, Grand Rapids, White Hall, Montague, and Ludington.
